Once again we will be taking part in Ayrshire Doors Open Day which this year will be the weekend of 2nd/3rd September. Unfortunately we have heard that the work to stabilise and repair the walls of the Auld Kirk are running late so we will not be able to open this building this year. There are lots of buildings open to the public over that weekend – do collect one of the leaflets from the Townhouse which give all the details. The Townhouse will be open from 10.00 to 15.30 on the Saturday and !4.00 to !6.00 on the Sunday. In addition Tom Hart will be leading a town centre walk leaving from the Townhouse at 11.00 on Saturday 2nd. Both floors of the Townhouse will be open to the public allowing visitors to see the progress of the refurbishment and look at displays on the history of the building (upstairs) and ‘Life in Beith, 1817-1917’ on the ground floor.
